3D Blaster GeForce

NVIDIA's next generation GeForce 256 really rocks! Creative has taken the reference design and quickly pushed the 3D Blaster GeForce onto the market as the first GeForce- based card.

Funny though, the Annihilator name did not appear on any of the boxes or press material that I received.

Lots of GeForce boxes!

We were shown the tech demos that were available as screenshots on the web. You can check them out at NVIDIA's web site. Believe me, screenshots are nothing compared to seeing the card generate such complex graphics and animate them in real-time!

Some games were shown, but the most impressive was the Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens demo taken from the game Experience. The scenery and detail were absolutely breathtaking!

It is a pity that only a handful of games coming out this year will support the capabilities of the GeForce. We'll have to wait till next year before the true power of this card is harnessed.

Of course, the folks at Creative couldn't leave out Quake 3 Arena!

4 BlasterPCs with 3D Blaster GeForce and Sound Blaster Live! and FourPointSurround speakers were networked for an ultra-fast and bloody fragfest!

No event is complete without a game of Quake!
