After the presentation in the auditorium, we were ushered to the event room for a tea buffet and see the Extigy being used in various setups.

Demo Setups
It's everyone's guess how well the Exitgy fits in an existing setup and lifestyle but Creative was ready to show us the ways in which the Extigy can be used. We saw how the Extigy can be employed in three different demo setups.
The first setup is a typical desktop PC with the usual boxy CPU casing coupled with a conventional CRT monitor.
The DVD of the movie "Batman and Robin" was played using a software DVD player. Not only does the Extigy fit into this demo setup nicely, it also sounds great as well.
The product design is really cool to look at, from the jet black Creative BlasterPC casing, with the Extigy standing vertically beside the monitor, and the Inspire 5300 5.1 speakers, and gives a "high-tech" or "cyber" feel to this demo setup. With the tiny satellite speakers of the Inspire 5300, you'll get home theater and save much room space at the same time.
The next setup is a typical bedroom room kind of environment where you have your portable audio device, in this case the Nomad Jukebox, laying on a coffee table.
As you might have guessed, this setup demonstrates the Extigy's ability to add CMSS and connect to portable audio devices, like CD, MD, MP3 players, and even FM receivers.
Interestingly enough, one of the marketing officers told us that a member of the press had brought along his PocketPC and got it hooked up to the Extigy's line inputs in no time. With the included remote control, you can control the Extigy's settings, such as volume, CMSS and muting - right from your bed (which was actually right there facing the setup you see in the picture). Together with Inspire 5300, the Extigy matches up very nicely here.

The Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 speaker system was heavily
promoted as the "perfect match" for the Extigy
Lastly of course, is the living room demo setup. What really hit me was that the addition of an Extigy and the Inspire 5300 didn't add much bulk to the setup, illustrating how those of you who have space constraints can benefit with the addition of an Extigy for movies and games in the living room. Besides, it looks really cool standing beside the PlayStation 2. No prize for guessing where they got the idea to add vertical placement to the Extigy.

In the left compartment is of course, the Extigy connected to
Sony's PlayStation 2 console to the right.
All in all, the demo setups were an intersting way to show how the Extigy can be used, and I think many users would actually get them and fit the Extigy into their existing PCs and home entertainment setups.
