Patch Update

Released On:
September 29, 2001

  • Fixes the ability to stream out compressed Dolby Digital (AC-3) streams from Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 cards operating under Windows 2000
  • Includes WHQL Certified drivers
  • Tested on the following models - Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 (Models: SB0060, SB0100 and SB0102)

Download: Creative.com | Creative Europe (The Europe site links to the "latest drivers" page. If it is way past September 29, 2001, Creative may have moved this file elsewhere in their site.)

Note: Both sites seem to be hosting the same file for download but are providing conflicting information. The Europre site says it is only for Live! 5.1 cards, while Creative.com says that it works with the following 2nd and 3rd generation cards: CT4760, CT4790, CT4830, CT4832, CT4870 CT4872, SB0060, SB0100 and SB0102.

If you do not want the new apps, you can download the basic drivers. This version is for Windows 2000 Professional only. If you managed to get it to work on other Windows 2000 versions, do let us know.
