EMU10K1F.SYS 5.12.01.3213 Last updated on
June 4, 2001

The usual disclaimer: I have not verified these drivers, so try at your own risk.

These drivers should work for all SBLive! versions including the 5.1 series.

3213 EMU10K1F.SYS Only - For 3209 Installations

Alternatively, you can download the EMU10K1F.SYS sent to me by Travis Howell. He told me that only EMU10K1F.SYS is changed from the 5.12.01.3209 driver package. So make sure you have the 3209 package installed before trying this.

This only contains the EMU10K1F.SYS 3213 driver and not the entire driver package. You will need to manually replace it with the one in the WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS folder.

Download: The EMU10K1F.SYS 3213 can be downloaded from here.

Just to let you know that AC3 passthrough IS FIXED (on Win2K) when using WinDVD and Live card. Just update your Live drivers with WDM drivers 3300.

One side effect though : it deactivated the existing passthrough on PowerDVD but I dont care, image is better on WinDVD, so I will stick to it.

I installed the EMU10K1F.SYS 3213 driver over
a 3209 installation on Win2k(sp2). This driver FINALLY appears to fix the noise when the drivers are loaded at start-up time!

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about - It would seem some peoples Win2k installation with Liveware 3 made a loud thunder crack with reverb type noise at startup. This is NOT any kind of system sound, nor is it to do with any kind of settings on Liveware 3. The Liveware 3 drivers insisted on making this noise when the drivers were loaded, and there wasn't any way of stopping it!

The noise was still there in 3209, but - to my surprise - it seems it's finally gone in 3213! If you've got this noise problem under Win2k I'd recommend you try the 3213 driver out.
