I'm excited! After using a Live! for the past three years, and going through the pain of typing countless exclamation marks to accompany the word "Live", Creative has finally given us a bigger and better sound card at the same prices. I'd like to thank the folks at Creative for kindly providing an Audigy! for our review.
We received a "Special Press Edition", which actually contains the Platinum eX package, including the Audigy card, external Audigy drive, many cables, software CDs and installation accessories.
But what about those of us who own one of the millions of Live! cards that have been made since 1998? Would the Audigy be worth an upgrade? Is there any significant difference that makes it a must buy? The Audigy has garnered nothing less than glowing reviews from nearly every publication, but at the same time some users have voiced their concerns about some of the features.
