Early News
Audigy will be released sometime in the 4th quarter, which falls in the same timeframe when all the other Sound Blaster Live! products have been released for the past 3 years.
CNET Singapore has a news article on Creative's target US$260m Q4 profits. In the article, there are some interesting bits of information where CEO Mr Sim Wong Hoo mentioned that the company has "finalized plans to launch its new Sound Blaster platform in September this year" and they are also "planning to launch a new speaker line "to further increase our speaker market share"".
This news article at The Inquirer speculates on the upcoming Sound Blaster and says that "the cards will support 96 KHz sound quality - double the 48 KHz of the existing cards and considerably better than the 44.1KHz of CDs". I wouldn't trust this article. They even said the "EMU10K" is the chip used in current Sound Blasters!
