ALive! is a non-profit web site that aims to provide news and information on everything Sound Blaster Live!

we need your support and contribution!

We are running this site out of our own free time, without any profit. If you have any news or any articles to contribute, that would help other SBLive! users like yourself, please contact us.

If you have discovered something neat about the SBLive!, we also hope that you can share them with other readers!

where it all started...

Back in late 1998 when the Sound Blaster Live! was released, two sites sprang up to provide the Sound Blaster Live! community with a place to get the latest news, technical information and also to meet other Sound Blaster Live! users.

ALive!, started by ES Lee, and it became a hot favourite with the early SBLive! community!

Sound Blaster Live! Discussion List was started by Clarence Song. It began as a site that hosted his report on his visit to the launch of the Sound Blaster Live! card, and soon a mailing/discussion list for users was started.

Now we've joined forces and combined the best of both sites. We hope this site will be able to serve your needs on everything Sound Blaster Live!

enjoy yourselves here!

Help Needed

The goal of this web site is to provide as much infomation to the SBLive! community to the best of my ability. The site does not earn any profits from your readership, and therefore I need all the support I can get. We would appreciate if any of you could help with the following positions.

Gaming News
If you read gaming news from sites like Blue's News or VoodooExtreme often, then you can help. Just send me the news to (only) SBLive! games. Like those supporting EAX and 3D sound, those that have SBLive! patches, or any problems games have with SBLive! Drop me a mail!

Musician News & Articles
If you are a musician and make use of the Sound Blaster Live! for music sequencing and digital audio, I would like to invite you to share your tips and techniques, and write some articles on any topic which you think will be beneficial to the Sound Blaster Live! musician community, which IMO is a very small but significant group of people! (Don't believe me? Check out the discussion list!)

Everyone Else
For the rest of you out there, I hope you can send in news, and useful information and tips that you have come across that would benefit the Sound Blaster Live! community. Some news is better than no news!

Keep telling us how we can make this site better, and what other things you would like to see!

Thanks,
Clarence Song
